A ponytail extension is the quickest way to get long, thick hair – no hair extensions and no trip to the hairdresser. Ponytails are our main speciality: behind QueenFH stand more than 20 years of experience as a hairdresser and the title of Master Hairdresser. On this page we have gathered the most important information and links to detailed guides.

What are our ponytails made of?

All QueenFH ponytails are made of heat-resistant synthetic fibre hair – a high-quality synthetic fibre with a structure similar to natural hair. They look realistic, are light and do not weigh down the scalp, and they can also be straightened and curled at temperatures of up to 180 °C.

Curl types

  • Straight (sleek) – a classic, elegant high ponytail: 90 cm, 70 cm, 55 cm.
  • Afro curl – small, springy curls and plenty of volume: 70 cm, 55 cm.
  • Big wave – full, soft waves: 70 cm, 55 cm.
  • Ocean wave – loose, beach-style waves: 70 cm, 55 cm.
  • Hollywood – elegant retro-style waves: 70 cm.
  • Short ponytails – light, for everyday wear: 45 cm, 40 cm, 35 cm.

Length and weight

Our ponytails range from 35 to 90 cm in length and from 85 to 180 g in weight. The weight increases with the length, so the density is similar in every variant. You will find the full table and tips in our guide how to choose the length and weight of a ponytail.

Attachment: mesh base or claw clip?

The mesh base version is for thicker and longer hair – the elastic mesh hides your own ponytail underneath. The claw clip version is for fine and shorter hair – the strong clip holds securely even with less hair. A comparison of both versions: ponytail with a mesh base or a claw clip, and fitting instructions: how to put on a ponytail extension.

Colour

We have many shades – from platinum and blondes, through browns and reds, to black, as well as ombre and sombre variants and variants with streaks and highlights. Our guide how to choose the colour of a ponytail extension helps you pick the right one.

Care and styling

You wash a heat-resistant fibre ponytail rarely, in lukewarm or cool water, and brush it with a brush for synthetic hair – ideally one with natural boar bristles. You can straighten it, curl it and put it up into buns or evening hairstyles. Details: how to care for heat-resistant fibre ponytails and heat styling a heat-resistant fibre ponytail.

For which occasions?

Shorter and lighter ponytails work well for everyday wear and at work. Long models in Hollywood or big wave styles, or the straight 90 cm, create a spectacular effect for a wedding, a prom, a photo shoot or a night out. You will find all models in the Ponytails category.
