QueenFH ponytails are made of heat-resistant fibre hair, so you can straighten and curl them just like your own hair. There is one rule to remember: maximum 180 °C. Higher temperatures can permanently damage the fibres.
Before styling
- Style the ponytail when it's dry and thoroughly brushed out.
- Use a flat iron or curling iron with temperature control and set it to no more than 180 °C.
- Start at a lower temperature and test the result on a thin strand from the underside of the ponytail.
Straightening
Straighten a straight ponytail with a flat iron. Work in thin sections and glide the iron smoothly, without stopping in one place. This leaves the hair smooth and shiny.
Curling
With a curling iron or a flat iron you can curl a straight ponytail or refresh the curl of a curly one. Wrap thin sections and hold them only briefly.
Setting the style
After styling, let the strands cool completely before brushing or separating them – only then does the curl set. Separate curls gently with your fingers, ideally after spritzing them with a spray conditioner.
What to avoid
- temperatures above 180 °C,
- using hot styling tools on a wet ponytail,
- drying with hot air – dry a straight ponytail on a cool setting and leave a curly one to dry naturally,
- permanent hair dyes.
Updos and special-occasion hairstyles
A heat-resistant ponytail is more than just a classic ponytail. You can turn it into a braid, a bun or an evening updo – for a wedding ceremony, a wedding reception or another occasion.
