Most of our heat-resistant fibre ponytails come in two attachment versions: on a mesh base and with a claw clip. The length, weight, texture and colour are the same – the only difference is how the ponytail attaches to your hair. Your choice depends mainly on how much hair you have and how long it is.

Mesh-base ponytail – for thicker and longer hair

The mesh-base version works best for thick hair of medium or longer length. You tie your own hair into a ponytail, and the elastic mesh of the ponytail extension hides it underneath. The design holds a larger volume of hair well and creates a smooth transition between your own hair and the ponytail extension.

Choose the mesh-base version if:

  • you have thicker or dense hair,
  • your hair is medium length or longer,
  • you want a full, natural-looking result.

Claw clip ponytail – for fine and shorter hair

The claw clip version is the best solution for fine or shorter hair. The strong claw clip lets you attach the ponytail securely even when you have less hair of your own and it would be hard to hide it under the mesh. Putting it on takes literally a moment.

Choose the claw clip version if:

  • you have fine hair,
  • your hair is short,
  • you want to attach the ponytail quickly and easily.

Good to know

Both versions are made of the same heat-resistant fibre hair, so you care for and style them the same way – you can straighten and curl them up to 180 °C. Not sure which length to choose? Take a look at our guide on ponytail length and weight, and you will find instructions for putting on both versions in how to put on a ponytail extension. All models are in the Ponytails category.
